Heel even hebben we al mogen genieten van winterse tafrelen. Sneeuwballen gooien, sleeën en sneeuwpoppen maken. Hopelijk gaat het nog een keertje sneeuwen. Gelukkig zijn er veel boeken die gaan over de winter. Daar is dit boek een mooi voorbeeld van. Benieuwd naar dit boek? Je leest er alles over in deze recensie.
Wat vooraf ging
Tijdens één van mijn bezoeken aan Paagman in Den Haag zag ik het boek liggen van De vier kaboutertjes in de lente. De kaft van het boek sprak mij toen al enorm aan, omdat het er ontzettend creatief uitzag. Het is niet zomaar een foto of illustratie. Het is meer dan dat. Op de kaft zie je een afbeelding van vier kaboutertjes gemaakt van wol, watjes, stof en andere materialen. Dan wordt je vanzelf wel nieuwsgierig naar de inhoud van het boek. Dit exemplaar is voor ons de vierde, en laatste, versie. Dan hebben we alle seizoenen.
En dan nu het boek
De vier kaboutertjes beleven allerlei avonturen in de winter. Er zijn dieren die een winterslaap houden en er zijn dieren die hulp nodig hebben. Gelukkig staan de kaboutertjes paraat en helpen zij waar zij kunnen. Maar, natuurlijk spelen zij ook in de sneeuw en proberen ze te schaatsen op een bevroren vijver. Als dat maar goed gaat.
Niet alleen de verhalen zijn leuk, zo ook de afbeeldingen van de kabouters. Ook in het boek vind je afbeeldingen die met zorg en veel creativiteit zijn gemaakt. Eigenlijk net zoals op de kaft.
En, het allerleukste? Op iedere pagina kun je zoeken naar een sneeuwpop. Goed zoeken hoor, want hij is niet heel erg groot.
Ik vond….
…..het boek interessant. Klinkt misschien heel saai, maar niets is minder waar. Met interessant bedoel ik dat het boek op iedere pagina iets nieuws te bieden heeft. Je zoekt naar een sneeuwpop, je bekijkt de afbeeldingen en je leest het verhaal. Het blijft daardoor boeien van begin tot eind. Dat maakt het voorlezen leuk. De verhaaltjes zijn niet al te lang, lang genoeg voor kinderen om te blijven luisteren. En de verhalen zijn geschreven op rijm. Ikzelf vind dat altijd lekker lezen, het lijkt altijd alsof er een melodie in een verhaal zit.
